Enrollment of Nonresident Students

  • New! All school districts in Kansas must allow for the enrollment of nonresident students, if space is available, beginning with the 2024-25 school year. As part of this mandatory requirement, each Board of Education must adopt a policy that aligns with the new state law. The Board of Education of USD 232 adopted its policy regarding Enrollment of Nonresident Students on December 4, 2023.

The policy is written to address the number of nonresident students that the school district has the capacity to accept in each grade level for each school of the school district pursuant to K.S.A. 72-3123, and amendments thereto, including clearly specifying the reasons that the board may use to deny continued enrollment of a nonresident student who is not in good standing. If you have any questions after reviewing the information on this webpage, please contact us via email or by phone: 913-667-6200.
